9K a year 2 days ago 2 days ago 2 days ago We are seeking a friendly and self-motivated, highly organized Document Imaging Clerk/Office Assistant who can multi-task to join our growing healthcare team.
In this role, and under the general direction of the Practice Administrator or designee, the candidate will be responsible for processing a variety of patient records to support the facility's mission to secure and maintain accurate patient health information.
Tasks include customer service, both face-to-face and telephone or correspondence, document capture processing, health information report routing, release of information (ROI), data abstracting and reporting to external entities, maintaining logs, functions related to billing and collections for ROI, patient record retention and destruction and any other duties as assigned.
This individual should demonstrate professionalism, commitment to providing superior customer service, and effectively balance quality and quantity of output.
This position works closely with all departments at CCFP and plays a critical role in our office, and should display excellent and respectful customer service skills while working with patients, providers, and other staff members.
Essential Functions:
Performs scanning of the paper health information records into the electronic health record system following established guidelines.
Performs duties related to the receipt, preparation, indexing, and destruction of health and administrative information.
Sorts loose health record documents daily, scan and indexes materials accordingly on a timely basis following established guidelines.
Performs qualitative and quantitative analysis of scanned document images to assure accuracy and legibility maintained.
Performs chart audits to ensure paper chart, patient, and electronic charts match 100% Ability to operate and communicate effectively with others.
Maintains work schedule flexibility to meet short timeframes.
Demonstrates effective problem-identification, problem-solving, and priority-setting skills.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Reliable attendance is an ongoing essential job function.
Protects patients' rights by maintaining the confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Assists other departments as needed.
Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
General Requirements:
Requires high school diploma or GED Must be knowledgeable regarding patient health information and HIPAA compliance.
Familiarity with phone systems, and proficiency with electronic health records and Practice Management systems.
Must demonstrate the ability to follow document management guidelines.
Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must demonstrate the ability to follow the organization's confidentiality and security rules.
Must be organized and self-motivated and display excellent time management, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Superior communication skills; Ability to speak respectfully, clearly, and concisely to patients and staff members.
The ability to work well both independently and cohesively with members of other department teams Previous experience with Microsoft Office software preferred Job Type:
